My reflective essay -- Riko

I used to be a perfectionist. Then I had too high an objective and was too strict with myself. Therefore, if I didn’t manage to achieve what I wanted to do, I was really disappointed and stressed. However, I have realised that I didn’t have to accomplish something perfectly because all of my choices and behaviors might have caused another great life.

When I was a high school student, I was changed. Many friends who I met at the high school are quite cheerful, easygoing, and fearless, and also, they try new things. I was inspired by them to change my timid self into an adventurous person. For example, I started teaching kids dance as an instructor. I was worried if I could do it well because it’s challenging and responsible. However, I have really enjoyed it and it’s been an extremely valuable experience. In addition to this, it is definitely important for me to be tolerant of my mistakes or challenges. Although there is a thing didn’t come out as I want, it surely become a part of fabulous life. When I’m faced with a challenge, I now view it positively.

I’m strongly supposing “everything is going to be fine” and “whatever happens, happens”. These phrases are two of my mottos. Therefore, now, I live my life with less stress than before.
