A Problem I Have Solved -- Momoka

I was really looking forward to going to university. However, I got COVID-19 on the following the entrance ceremony of my university. So, I had to be absent for a week. I was very sad because I thought it is important to attend classes and make new friends in the first week.

After I took a rest at home for a week, I went to school for the first time. I was very tense because I didn’t know all my classmates and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the classes. In my first English class, I tried to speak to a classmate who was sitting next to me. Then, we talked a lot and I described what had happened to me. So, she explained to me about my previous classes and we got along rapidly. Furthermore, I spoke to my classmates in every English classes and made friends. In addition, I joined an orchestra club and through this I have made a lot of new friends.

Thanks to my actions and the kindness of my friends, I have enjoyed my university life every day and got used to taking classes. My communication skill have improved a little bit. This is the reason why I think that it is important to speak to people. Also, I learned that even if something is wrong at first, it will be better in the end. Currently I’m studying English at a language center in New Zealand. I would like to try to start conversations actively, make new international friends, and enjoy my study abroad experience.
