The Use Of Electric Vehicles : Is It Getting Better -Jimmy, Hana, Riko

We thought about the development of transportation.

We considered that electric vehicles (electric cars) will gradually replace fossil fuel vehicles (gasoline cars) in the future.

According to the graph from Statista, the global electric car sales are incredibly increasing, especially in China and Europe. As we can see, the electric car sales in those countries are doubled between last 10 years. From this data, we can know that electric cars are becoming more popular for last few years.

This graph shows the comparison between electric and gasoline cars in same company. Even electric cars costs more for cars, taxes, insurance, and others, total cost is less. It means electric cars have more advantage than gasoline ones.

We also discussed that electric cars have the potential to reduce these emissions causing global warming. We could know by the New UCS analysis graph that the average new battery electric cars produce roughly half the global warming pollution than a comparable gasoline cars.


Most people are beginning to accept and use electric vehicles instead of gasoline vehicles. However, there are still some reasons against buying an electric cars. According to the statistic of the survey based on 1,004 people, people usually think about the problems in charging and the distances linked to the battery.
