A Studying environment is crucial. The students who are in a good class environment and the students who are in a bad class environment must be different such as atmosphere in these classrooms. In this essay, I want to focus on English studies. The meaning of a good class environment and a bad class environment in this context is whether students and teachers are speaking English or not. I believe this environment is directly related to students’ English level. I have 2 reasons.
A
first reason is students can immerse themselves in English in their class. If
they have to speak only English in their class, they would need to speak
English. Of course, a language that is spoken by other students is English. So,
their senses such as sight and hearing would be occupied by English. I believe
this environment is very good for English learning students. In Japan, we tend
to be taught only grammar and some phrases and words, and just take English
tests. We don’t have enough English conversation time, and just sit down in our
chairs and listen to teachers.
A
second reason is using English would become a matter of course for students. As
I mentioned in paragraph 2, the students who are not be enough English
environment don’t have enough time to speak and hear English. This fact makes
students hesitate to speak English, and feel embarrassed to use English in
public. There are 4 types of sections. English, reading, listening, writing and
speaking. And I believe speaking English is the best way to improve our English
skills, and in order to improve our speaking skills, we can practice every section
of English. Having a conversation in English, not only their speaking skill but
listening skill are trained. When they find words or phrases that they want to remember,
they can use these words in a conversation so that remember the way to use
these words or right pronunciation. To practice English with this way, they can
increase their amount of vocabularies, and the opportunities that they face to words
or phrases that they don’t know would decline. When it comes to writing skill, their
ways to express their feelings would be expanded more.
To sum up, a studying environment is very important to students. To put themselves into a good studying environment, they would make a lot of progress.

ReplyDeleteI remenber that I had English class once a week when I was a elementary school student and I'm sure that the teacher spoke only English. I hope young students have more English class focused on communication.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. Learning grammar and vocabulary is important, but speaking English is more important. We can learn grammar and vocabulary more effectively by output, and we can develop our listening skills by interacting with other people in English.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, in Japan, there are very few opportunity to speak English. That's why many students feel they not good at speaking English, but it is important in the future!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking English is the most difficult things in English skills for me. I thought if the class has communicate in English more in Japan, it can be conected with improve the Englishe skills same as you.
